Our Founder: Smita GLK Parikh
Smita GLK Parikh is a dynamic entrepreneur with more than 16 years of experience in event management. Her passion for art, culture, literature, and music shapes the unique character of every event the company produces. Having lived in Indore, Udaipur, and Mumbai, and traveled extensively, Smita brings a rare blend of small-town warmth and metropolitan sophistication to her work.
In 2015, she founded Lit-O-Fest India, one of the country’s premier literature festivals, which continues to grow every year. Under her leadership, GLK Global Events has hosted landmark gatherings, including festivals at the British Parliament and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in London, where the Global Innoventure Awards 2018 were presented.
Smita’s contributions have earned her numerous honors, including the International Vatayan Award in London for promoting Indian languages and culture, the Global Peace Ambassador Award in Nigeria, and the Power-Packed Woman of the Year 2018 award from Phoenix Marketcity Mumbai. Remarkably, she received the Sahitya Academy Award at just 15 and the Maharana Mewar Award for her poetry.
